For many of you the temperatures are dropping and it's hard to imagine getting out to a cold garage gym... or covered patio, or even driveway when it's chilly. We know that SPers are fantastic at making these workouts work anywhere, but this could be your first winter with SP and you're in need of some tips and tricks for preparing for winter garage gym life. We've got you covered here.

And, for all of our friends in California and Colorado who are still dealing with the wildfires around your homes and communities, our thoughts are with you and we hope you are safe and healthy!

PREPPING FOR WINTER WORKOUTS

Mornings are darker, the temperatures can make dumbbells feel like ice blocks, and the wind chill is rude. Staying cozy inside sounds more enticing even though you *know* Miranda has already started reminding us that "Real Fitness is Made in the Winter..."

So what do you do when the season changes, the cold weather starts settling in and your entire fitness environment changes? How do we effectively prepare ourselves and our garages to take on the winter months?

We seek out advice from others who live in colder climates and ask them to share their best “tips and tricks” for winterizing our garages!

We recently interviewed 6 different Street Parking members who live in a variety of cold climates (Utah, Massachusetts, Canada, Ohio, etc.) and have personal experience with working out in their garages during the cold, oftentimes harsh winters. We asked them to share their best tips on how to prepare your garage gym for the winter months and they delivered. Check out their tips, see which ones resonate with you, harness these resources, and let’s get your garage gym prepped for a winter of fitness!

Our friends over at Crossover Symmetry have a limited time discount code to share with you to get 25% off any order!

We love the Crossover Symmetry tools in the SPHQ garage: the straps for the shoulder/lat activation and "prehab" as well as the Hip Halo that you'll sometimes see during the beginning of live workouts as we squat, walk and side step with it to activate our glutes!
